Having worked with FedEx for five years and subsequently offering a link into the FedEx service for the past seven years, River International is seen by many as the FedEx operation in the Mid West area of Ireland.Established and owned by Mr.Niall Gavin,who had previously been part of the Management Teams at Reindear Shipping, Elan/DHL, UPS/WW and Federal Express.
In June 1992, Niall decided to try setting up his own business after Federal Express closed it’s operation in Ireland, making him redundant along with 150 other people.ather than take part in the war between Integrators and Freight Forwarders it was decided to try and bridge the gap,as a result today River International utilises the services of the Integrators and also operates on behalf of several large multinational Freight Agents.
